Lauren more is an up and coming artist with amazing singing and song writing talent! It was an incredible experience to work with her to capture the essence of music through photography for her two singles True Colors and Bite. These projects gave me the opportunity to practice a multidude of my skills including photography, concept development, and illustration.
Single Cover Concept Development
Lots of ideas were generated for use as potential single covers for True Colors. These concepts were created using photoshop and an overlay of hand painted watercolors representing the symbolism of color in the lyrics of the song.
When editing photos I like to work with the most prominent or interesting color theme already present in either the subject or the background, while also taking into account mood and atmosphere. whether thats warming an image for sunny wishful landscape, bringing out the blues and vibrancy for a dreamy playful portrait, or scaling back saturation and cranking up the contrast for a moody evening city shot.
